As a child I adored The Magic Faraway Tree book. I have fond memories of the book and the adventures they took me on. I am 27 and when I when I remember back to the books I used to read, this book sticks in my mind most of all. My advice to any child is to read it, you will not be disappointed. I can remember reading the many stories that were about The Magic Far Away Tree. What a vivid imagination these books gave you. When I was very young I used to be in bed at night and think up places to visit that would come to the Magic Tree. The Magic Far Away Tree is a special tree in the woods and inside it were all sort of funny characters who make their home inside the tree. It was a huge tree that reached into the sky but the strangest thing about it was if you climbed all the way to the top it was in the clouds and inside the cloud was a different magical land. Oh, what fun and adventures the children who climbed the tree had. I credit the whole series of Magic Far Away Tree adventure with making me an avid reader which I still am today. I absolutely devoured these stories when I was about 7 years old. I bought this copy for my grandchildren to enjoy -- not exactly Harry Potter but a little more charming I think.
